Inspired By: Lyle Lovett
Music for Music's sake
I don't have much of a story for this song. I like the music and it makes me happy. I remember hearing it the first time when I was working in Charlotte, NC after I graduated from University. I like the ocean, boats and horses are magnificent creatures. It is representational so there isn't much to explain. Enjoy!
I ran out of 12" x 12" canvases and ended up using the cardboard box that the canvases are shipped in and am rather happy with the result of added texture.
This painting is one of a series of 30. I took a challenge to paint 30 paintings in 30 days! I fell behind only a few times and was ahead of the game a few times, kind of like life. I posted 29 to the site that hosted the challenge and have sold two thirds. You can't go back as an artist, evolution is paramount, however you can embrace your past and make your work more authentic. I embraced my past for this series, using a music playlist for inspiration. Please enjoy my musically inspired diverse oeuvre!
