"Impulse" Painting

Welcome to my art page. Currently 43, I live and work in France. Although I started my creative journey in Ukraine, where I attended art school and graduated with distinction. The varied training I gained while studying there and exploration of different styles and techniques formed the foundation for my creative vision and artistic expression. I am still drawing on that learning today while applying wide ranging techniques and using equally diverse media and materials to bring my ideas and projects to life. I love experimenting and creating unique and compelling artwork. In painting I favour impressionist style, which is symbolic of the way I interpret and capture my emotions, perceptions and experiences. At the same time, there is something enticing about tactile sensations when working with natural materials. As a result, over the last few years I have greatly enjoyed developing as a fiber-artist and a felt-maker. Wool, plant-based fibers, paper, materials found on nature walks… there is a whole new world of infinite, and eco-friendly, opportunities for creativity and inspiration. In fact, I get mostly inspired by nature: from observing and exploring the texture of natural materials to integrating them into my own art, while creating new patterns, playing with shapes, fractals, balance, composition, dimensions, tones, and chiaroscuro. I regularly take part in regional exhibitions and dream of organising my own one day. Happy browsing!
