This is a painting of a lion walking and looking up in search of a rainbow. The lion is painted in black and white except for his legs, they have a tint of blue and yellow to emphasis that he found his rainbow and his life becomes colorful rather than black and white.

This painting was inspired by Charlie Chaplin's quote - You'll never find a rainbow if you're looking down. The quote is written on the right side of the canvas.

This is an original artwork, created with acrylic and marble powder on 1.5" thick gallery-wrapped canvas. The borders are painted. It can be hung as is, or framed for added stability and beauty

ABOUT THE ARTWORK

This artwork is called In Search of a Rainbow and it was painted by me in 2020. It was inspired by Charlie Chaplin's quote: "You will never find a rainbow, if you are looking down". This motivational quote is written in graffiti style on the colorful background, reminding the viewer to focus on the positive. The lion is painted in gray tones to symbolize sadness, however he is looking up, looking for change for inspiration, he is looking for the rainbow. This art piece is fun, painted in a modern semi abstract style and it's offering the inspiration needed to all of us. If this painting resonates with you, then hanging it in your house will make your space your own, it will bring personality into your living space. It will be a beautiful and unique addition to your home. This is an original artwork, painted with acrylic paints and marble powder. The sides of the canvas are painted and it's ready to hang. I always use 1.5" thick gallery wrapped cotton canvas for its durability and 3D effect. The canvas is stretched over high quality pine wood frames and stapled on the back providing a clean finish on the sides. Since the sides are painted the painting can be left unframed for the contemporary look.. Please check the video to see the close up details https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U5Fe9TyLQ-M

Born in Ukraine in 1981, Anna developed her unique brand of art through her schooling at the Academy of Arts in Odessa, Ukraine and the Academy of Realist Art in Toronto, Canada. Via San Diego, Florence, and Vancouver, Anna eventually made her way to Austin, where she now lives and paints. Anna Ganina has drawn inspiration for her works of art from broad travels and her abundant life experiences as both a visitor and resident of many countries around the world. Through her paintings Anna goes beyond the obvious to uncover the symbolism within the human aspect of daily life. Her creativity and style come alive through her choices of imagery and materials. As a viewer of Anna’s images, one is transported to a world of fictional reality that exists in the recesses of the artist’s mind. Through her artwork, Anna challenges the observer to not only understand the scope of the actual image, but also submit to the feelings that the image provokes.
