In The Beginning Painting

I chose the title of this piece, "In The Beginning" because as soon as I had completed it, the name seemed to represent how our world, our universe, our very being began, a visualization of the beginning, maybe the big bang... you the viewer may see a bright colorful explosion, the universe, solar flares from the sun and even stars. I created this modern, abstract, contemporary piece at a time in my life when I am longing to begin again, start over, and I've been asking myself big important questions and to understand why am I here? What is my purpose? Then I get to the daily questions of, why do I want to paint all the time? Why am I so fixated on sharing my art with others? My inspiration in creating this piece came as I was thinking about sharing my art with others - the whole world? What would a world of art look like? So I started thinking about how it was in the beginning and during the creation, how energy and love and power and of course, beautiful color all came together as creation. And to create this inspired-filled piece of art, there are many layers of paint, some texture, so much energy, passion and love and my desire to share art with the world. This painting is ready to hang and the sides are painted black. The acrylic paint and light texture is multi-layered and the canvas is heavy duty. The painting and sides are coated with a satin varnish.
