ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Mixed Media on paper Signed on the front. This piece measures 50 x 65 cm. It is a mixed media painting on archival warm toned pastel paper. It has been sprayed with a fixative, ready for framing. The listing is for the artwork only. It requires framing. The underpainting was painted using thin washes of acrylics which then mostly covered by layers of pastels. This artwork was inspired by nature and landscape photos taken with polaroids, with flat contrast and soft hues. I wanted to create a simple, calming countryside landscape painting using a limited palette.

I love painting expressive landscapes with acrylic, oils and pastels. My main influence is the impressionists, including Claude Monet, Renoir, Camille Pissarro and Arthur Streeton.
