I've been always inspired by the impressionism and the effects of water. In a holiday summer picture with detailed tiles classic from Portugal, I dissolved water and colors until it creates it's own shape and forms over the painting. The characteristics and advantages of the materials lead us into another world of imagination.

Since 2004 Anisa Neto has been participating in solo and collective exhibitions with paintings and photographs in Portugal, UK and Denmark. Her works are inspired by fairy tale psychoanalysis, movies, books and design projects for children’s learning development. She loves to go back on time and dive into children’s imaginary world to interpret a different perspective and perception of our world, physical and mental and transfer the contrast in her paintings.
