Art Description

Painting: Acrylic on Canvas.

'Revealing Oneself' is an ongoing series by London-based Dutch artist Anne-Claire Fleer inspired by the search inside herself, leaving behind the corporate world to go full-time creative. Every one of us, human beings, starts life with a blank sheet, ready to write our own history. Over time we become persons with complex layers of thoughts and feelings. As we continue to add more complexity fuelled by our inner world and external expectations, we often get confused. We start asking questions as "Who am I?" and "What makes me happy?" To find answers to these questions we need to grow awareness of our internal complexity. Dive deep and reflect. The new knowledge that will be revealed can make us feel vulnerable and naked and we can choose to keep it to ourselves or share it with the outer world. I’ve chosen the latter, opening up through my art, revealing different parts of myself and using this as an invitation to others to get involved with my art.
