ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Some of my favorite artworks come out of art retreats. There is something about immersing oneself in group dedicated to painting. The energy from other artists energized me to paint this colorful whirlwind of shapes, each with it's own vitality. A bold, somewhat aggressive charcoal mark keeps it from being too sweet. This is one of those paintings that I am torn about keeping in my own collection....however it may have a new journey.
