Inner City3 Painting

I process paint and collage; playing and experimenting with multiple techniques and styles. I am presently working abstractly, using concepts and layers to allow the depths of my experiences to arise within the flow of shape, line and color. My goal is to take the viewer to places beyond thinking; to places that instill an emotional awareness rather than viewing a photographed picture. I want viewers to experience inquisitiveness, turmoil, deep thought, delight, a place to rest, emotion, quietness, or just travel to somewhere brand new. Originally from California, then Asheville, N.C., I raised two sons, entrepreneur two businesses, published a children’s picture book, and acquired a BFA . I teach fine arts to children in my studio.
