ABOUT THE ARTWORK
While on holiday at Loch Fyne, Argyll, we visited the grand house at Inveraray. The castle is the home of the Duke and Duchess of Argyll with lovely gardens and grounds. It is a mid-18th century, added to 100 years later after a fire. There has been a building here since the 1400s. I chose to do the picture with panted paper on a base of acrylic. I added oil pastels to add texture for the trees and old stone of the house walls.
