About The Artwork
...holding the edges together... This work was inspired by a beautiful beach on Isle of Skye. I wanted to paint the edges that were being held together by the ancient rocks. But what I loved most of about these rocks were the colours from the algae that brought to life an otherwise desolate beach. Nature has a way of reminding us that all things can be reclaimed even rocks on a beach. I wanted to play with the greens, yellows, blacks as well as the natural algae floating away in the current.
