Anna-Carien Goosen is a figurative artist based in Sydney. She has a passion for filling sketchbooks with drawings of strangers and takes joy in the messy alchemy of oil paint. ‘I observe the physical and emotional space around individuals and aim to distil this in my work. Our interactions with the world around us is layered, complex and sometimes a touch absurd. I combine realism with abstraction to indicate the overlap of boundaries between our inner worlds and visible realty.’
