About The Artwork
Alcohol inks with paint pen detailing on yupo paper. A3 size paper with a white border of approx 1.5cm all the way around. This piece just screams TROPICAL with a capital T! Good friends have holidayed in Rarotonga and when I think of it, this is what I have in mind.... Big, lush tropical flower with gorgeous green leaves, basking in humidity and glorious sunshine! Of course, tropical islands rain a lot and the big 'plops' of rain on this just finish the piece. Alcohol inks are absolutely glossy and vibrant and the colours really pop. This will not disappoint in real life! The original piece shows a more mustardy yellow than the very bright lemony yellow in the photo, but some colours just won't photograph totally accurately. I will add some close-ups.
