John Fitzgerald Kennedy (May 29, 1917 – November 22, 1963), often referred to by his initials as JFK or by the nickname Jack, was the youngest person to assume the presidency in The US by election. He was also the youngest president at the end of his tenure, and his lifespan was the shortest of any president. Kennedy served at the height of the Cold War, and the majority of his work as president concerned relations with the Soviet Union and Cuba. A Democrat, he represented Massachusetts in both houses of the U.S. Congress prior to his presidency. John F. Kennedy’s inaugural address inspired children and adults to see the importance of civic action and public service. His historic words, “Ask not what your country can do for you – ask what you can do for your country,” challenged every American to contribute in some way to the public good. He solved the conflict with USSR over the Cuban missiles, fought against corruption, signed the first nuclear weapons treaty in October 1963, presided over the establishment of the Peace Corps, Alliance for Progress with Latin America, approved the continuation of the Apollo program with the goal of landing a man on the Moon before 1970 and supported the civil rights movement. As a result of his democratic views and fight against corruption and peace in the World he was assassinated. Homo homini lupus!

Dear Art Lovers, It matters to paint something than nothing. Some years ago I approached art again. After graduating the fine art college in 1976 I decided to follow a degree in economics which I finished in 1984. I never lost contact with painting and I used to paint scarcely. I reached a moment in my life when I realized that my time is running fast and felt a void in my soul which can only be filled with painting. This gave a meaning and a purpouse to my existence. Painting is such an adventure. Every time I paint, I am wondering with my imagination and discover new and exciting things about the past, present and future of this wonderful World we're living in. Yours truly, Victor-Lucian
