ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This painting has been something I wanted to do for a while now. In the begining of the year I set up a still life with the honeycomb and tea cups, but it just didn't seem to be working. In truth perhaps I was forcing it a bit. In the mean time the honey level kept dropping until I found that tipping the jar helped to drain the last bit of honey from the comb naturally. One day, I walked by the benchtop and just had to get a snap of it.
