‘Je veux l’unité, d’après Manet’ I want unity, after manet. “The Luncheon on the Grass” by Manet, is partially referenced in a playful manner here, as part of Dana’s immersive and imaginative world. The selection of Manet’s work speaks of time-defying topics that have become ever more relevant today: conversations on tradition, censorship, gender, and equality. In addition, the impressionist style of Manet’s work illustrates the artist’s attempt to make what has become unfairly passé into something of a renewed relevance for today’s world.
