ABOUT THE ARTWORK
"I want to have fun!" is what I exclaimed to myself while painting this series of paintings. Each of these paintings is unique onto themselves and stand alone or in a group just fine. What inspired me while painting this series was the jovial experience of youth and birng a in a candy store and the excitement of colours, candy and designs, did I mention candy? The over stimulation of it leaves an impression on the mind. I took that experience and transformed it into what I feel when I am surrounded by flowers or just even on beautiful flower can bring up a frenzy of excitement in me. Flowers are so beautiful, but I feel simply painting them as they are does them no justice; I want to create something more something never seen to the human eye; something felt in memory or a place in time.

Hello and thank you for dropping by. My name is Diana, I was born and raised just North of Toronto. I lived on a hobby farm with my parents and 3 siblings. We had sheep, chickens and rabbits and a very large vegetable garden. I lived in what felt like the woods. Our little house was surrounded by huge Maple trees. I like to think that the trees raised me. I also teach art at the Wyndham School of Art in Guelph Ontario. I paint in my home studio.
