Jewels of Autumn Painting

I am not formally trained in art, but have recently started to explore my penchant to draw and paint by attending workshops locally. I am a psychiatrist by profession, also practice alternative healing keeping the healer in me satisfied, and currently appeasing the artist in me by devoting some time to art too. I find myself very comfortable with the dry media like charcoal and dry pastels, but am now also exploring oils and occasionally watercolours. My subjects tend to be nature and animals because they can move me like nobody else, and I am partial to the fine and well defined work rather than the abstract. That doesn't mean I don't like abstract work- I do especially when the colours call out to me.
