ABOUT THE ARTWORK
We all have our own roadmap, it is that fascination with the human face that drew me to painting portraits. I prefer to paint people I don't know as it gives me freedom to create with out any preconceived notions or the pressure to please. Very often it is the person who has "lived a life" that most appeals to me. My hope is that people will view my paintings and will wonder what is behind the look, the smile, the glance and the body language ... it is that story that comes alive for me. I had worked with oils for sometime and found that acrylics was a healthier way to work with paints.
