ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Kindness and care with this piece was what I sensed when I started painting it. The world at the moment is what is inspiring me to paint, to paint joy, happiness and goodwill to butt against the many weather catastrophes, the pandemic and man made disasters... I hope viewers can feel the calm. I started with black marks on this canvas and covered it with mark making to block out the bad, I have allowed some grey to poke through because nothing is perfect. I chose acrylics for the speed of its drying, allowing me to layer spontaneously and quickly.
