ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This acrylgouache was inspired by the Larry Rivers painting "Washington Crossing the Delaware" which I recently viewed at the Whitney Museum of Art in New York. I was so taken by the bursting movement of color and ambiguous form in his work that I immediately needed to recreate that in my own words.
