Kalypso #10 Painting

My most recent series is called Kalypso; a fierce anthology of industrial and landscape elements. In my paintings I’m giving my vision of our future landscape. How will our environment develop through influences of science and new technologies? Our landscape is constantly changing. I think our perception about beauty in nature will change through knowledge. New technologies like vertical farming and augmented reality are growing into our lives. In which environments are we going to feel at home soon? Which landscapes will we appreciate in the near future? The title of the series refers to the Greek myth in which goddess Kalypso held the hero of Odysseus for years. It is said that this place not only was brilliant, but also unusual beautiful. This story is the reason to combine all my ideas and fantasies about our future landscape into a completely new reality. ”
