Self-introduction My name is Chang Tien-yu . I was born in 1950. After serving in the R.O.C Army for 19 years, I have found a new calling in becoming an artist. I sincerely hope that my art work can be shown in the Art Gallery of world Statement The Greek mythology, Prometheus, had a conceptual impact and inspiration which influentially turned me into the Almighty God’s hand. I am just the pen-handler in which the God itself is the painter. I often kneel down to pray before I start painting. I finally found the style which employs the multimedia to create an atmosphere to suggest the reality. I have overthrown Chinese traditional painting style and recreated the space between total black and white; trying to combine Western oil painting and Oriental calligraphy techniques which assist expressing the ancient Chinese history and modern culture.
