Art Description

Painting: Spray Paint, Enamel, Acrylic, Resin on Aluminium.

The most universal shape is the circle, from the ball called earth, to the moon and the sun. In these works RichHARD’s intention is to capture groups of society and their relationships.

Each circle may represent a person, capturing the freedom of movement so that the outcome is perfection yet unique like a fingerprint.

The arrangements showcase RichHARD’s eye for colour using his trademark ‘scribble’ to express depth and symbolism.

Perhaps the 2 center left circles are a mother and child. Perhaps the large circle that encompasses the entire piece is family, yet the black foreground dots may be 'facebook' friends. And those at the edge in grey could be those that have been lost, or not known yet.

The edges have been sanded back to give a slim glimpse of the aluminium underneath.

The aim is to provide questions, never answers, much like a book with the last page torn out.
