Koi Feeding Series#18 Painting

Yet another work in my Koi Feeding series, this painting is also representative of a particular perception of the concept of luck and prosperity, traits often associated with koi. The koi fish swim in figure 8's, otherwise known as the infinity symbol, meaning that the balance between good and bad fortune is everchanging and everflowing. As goes the saying, "The only thing constant is change." Additionally, the greyscale tone of this painting shows that reality is black and white, when times are good, they are good, and vice versa.
