ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I was inspired by the spherical supersensible music by Edward Elgar-Enigma Variations - Nimrod -by Leonard Bernstein. This music and Mr. Bernstein's interpretation are a universal work of art. My inner strength as well as my soul floated in this stream of love, the strength and the purity of this unique music and its effectiveness. Everyone can only be once on this earth and the meaning of our existence is to give us to life with full trust, love and tenderness in the heart and to live it well - every day - as this music is unique and its interpreter so we are the same - the good and love will ALWAYS prevail - this is a universal law in life. I am grateful that I was and I am still allowed to experience this. please note: the edges (sides) of my picture are not painted over white - they are as they are - handmade - therefore my picture as a whole is natural and it is not a printed canvas. I paint to recognize and express myself - that is my form of authenticity. I assimilate all my experiences in daily life by the way I express myself in painting. Painting gives me the opportunity to connect with the world. An authentic open attitude, the passion for working, my desires and dreams - as well as the connection with the music allow me to create my pictures without any previous idea. I rely on my feeling and my intuition. When painting, I feel connected to the whole - there are no limits. It is a form of dissolution as a single individual and a fusion with we call "ONE". I am deeply grateful for that. Nature, music and philosophy are my companions and inspiration. I mainly work with acrylic on canvas. For collages I use charcoal, chalk, colored pencil and some structure paste or paper.
