About The Artwork

"Mounting Ground" is a watercolor that I painted in the technique of watercolor on raw paper. This technique requires the artist to be quick because the working time is related to the drying of the paper. As long as the paper remains wet, you can work freely, but after it dries, it is no longer pliable to work with. Thus, the time available to create the painting is limited. This painting depicts the process of assembling a huge walking excavator with a car in the bucket. The painting is done in golden yellow tones. The size of the work is 70 by 90. It was written in 1984 in the city of Magnitogorsk. The technique of a watercolor on a raw paper has allowed me to capture the dynamic process of assemblage of the powerful techniques. I sought to convey the atmosphere of the assembly site and a sense of movement, using gold shades, which add special harmony and warmth to the work. "Mounting Ground" is one of my early works and reflects my interest in industry and the power of technology. Lola Saifi is the founder and director of the Human House Gallery. Our gallery cooperates with many talented artists from all regions of Uzbekistan and with a number of artists from Central Asia. We would like to use your Saatchi platform to help sell paintings by artists with whom we cooperate and who, due to various circumstances, cannot present and send paintings on their own. Unfortunately, the art-market isn’t developed in Uzbekistan, but there are many talented artists who find it difficult to sell their works.
