Painting: Acrylic, Spray Paint, Chalk, Charcoal on Wood.
This is about forgetting and remembering. It was triggered by a visit to Prague and Teresin in the Czech Republic. Teresin was a hub in the Nazi concentraion camp system. I know people who have relatives that died there or were imprisoned there before being murdered elsewhere. We forget these things at our peril. They are virtually beyond comprehension but I wanted to try and express a bit of what I felt there, without being literal. Using mixed media on board helped me keep the image flexible.
