You only have to look at this guy to see why I picked the title. LONELY RIDER is a one-of-a-kind, original work of art and no authorized copies will ever be made. The painting is signed on the front and comes with a signed certificate of authenticity. I work exclusively with India ink and acrylic paint on 4 mil archival grade mylar. the acrylic for the background work and the India ink for details. All of my artwork has a clear protective coating applied so that it is not necessary nor desirable to put it behind glass. This painting will be shipped in a 4 inch diameter PVC tube. The painting is very easy to mount on any type of sturdy surface (masonite, plywood, foamboard, etc.). I include simple mounting instructions with each piece that I sell. I also include a hanging strip, repositionable adhesive and a wall hanging device.

I am an architect by education, and profession. I have practiced architecture for over three decades. A good deal of my experience as an artist developed from doing architectural plans and illustrations. In addition to my architectural work, I have always enjoyed producing works of "visual art". It has provided a wonderful counterpoint to the precise work involved in architectural drawings: the highly precise vs. the "free and spontaneous". I still work with the same media that I have used in architectural work: India ink, graphite pencil and acrylic paint on archival quality mylar film. I like for my work to show either emotion or action.... Occasionally both. Emotion is usually captured in a close-up portrait or perhaps full figure drawings. Action is depicted in dance or sporting events. Other than that, I don't have any deep philosophical ideas about my art except that I want to produce works that people will enjoy and be proud to have hanging on their walls.
