Painting: Oil, Acrylic on Canvas.
The whole process of this artwork's creation was highly emotional and conceptual. It was created when I was living in Marbella, Spain, where there is always sunny and you barely can enjoy rain. Though, I waited for the rain and when it finally started falling I put this huge canvas out in the middle of the street and gave vent to my feelings...I started to put bright pink lines on top of canvas and immediately they were blurred by the rain drops. I really enjoyed this process of co-creation with the nature, but it was just the beginning.
Afterwards, a wind blown so rapidly that canvas felt down on the one and only wand that was lying on the street and it made a small hole in the canvas. It amazed me so much that I decided to use this hole as a metaphor for the broken heart and put it in the middle of a heart.
The painting is called "LOVE", because it represents different sides of it – starting from the absolute love that I felt while experiencing dissolution with the nature and till pain caused by breaking up.
This piece is truly unique due to the fact that while I was creating it the nature put its touches, which was out of my control.
