Art, for me, has always been more than a creative pursuit, it has been a source of solace, a means of self-expression, and a reflection of my inner journey. Since childhood, it has been my refuge, a space where I could translate emotions and experiences into visual form. However, life’s demands led me away from it, and as I pursued my career, my connection with art faded. It wasn’t until I faced personal struggles, failures, and rejections that I found my way back, realizing that art was not just my passion but my sanctuary. My artistic practice is deeply rooted in abstraction, texture, and Arabic calligraphy, where I merge traditional influences with contemporary expression. My thirst for religious knowledge has drawn me toward calligraphic fonts, leading me to master Deewani and Riqa’ah scripts. I find inspiration in ancient Islamic art and reinterpret its essence through modern techniques, creating unique and meaningful pieces that bridge heritage with contemporary aesthetics. Each artwork I create carries a hidden message, a silent dialogue of emotions and resilience. My journey took a transformative turn during the COVID-19 pandemic, a period of personal and financial challenges. Experimenting with acrylics, exploring textured abstract techniques, and layering calligraphy onto my compositions became a beacon of hope. Art rekindled my belief that I could navigate life’s hardships, and in doing so, I aspire to create pieces that not only inspire me but also uplift those who view them. Through my work, I seek to connect spirituality with artistic expression, weaving narratives of struggle, perseverance, and renewal. I strive to create art that speaks to the soul—one that motivates, heals, and invites contemplation.
