About The Artwork

In this work, it was interesting for me to show the amazing depth of the wax medium, combining it with collage elements, intarsia and reliefs. Working with hot wax is mesmerizing, each layer adds its own flavor and adds depth. I wanted to create the effect of being in the garden, where blooming hydrangeas, sunlight through foliage and white clouds form a unique lace pattern. The work won a prize in the Russian Art Week in the spring of 2019.

Natasha Zhukova is mixed media and enсaustic artist and teacher. Was born, grew and I live in Moscow. From the childhood I liked fairy tales and interesting histories, could listen to them by the hours , presenting places, heroes and suffering their feelings. The most perfect feeling - love, and art is perfect what can fill our hearts by the gladness, admiration and love. Therefore I want to create works which bear these feelings and tell surprising and mysterious histories. I like to travel and to collect inspiration by nature, architecture, me пленяют the invoice of old walls, corrosion and ceramics. In my works I combine varied structures and collage, therefore I work in mixed technicians, applying various рельефные materials. My bent for mixed technicians was displayed as early as the period of training on Art-Graphic department in Moscow Pedagogical University which I finished in 1998. My degree work was as well in mixed printed technicians: dry needle and monotype. From 2007 she began to study modern decorative materials and techniques - decoupage, furniture and interior decoration. When the luggage on materials and technicians reached maximum, I finally understood that my way is creativity freedom and mixed technicians. Most often in my works I use all kinds of pastes, acrylic, various types of paper, wax medium, although I still love to try new materials and look for new combinations. With 2010 I conduct classes and workshops in Moscow. Author is more than 20 professional training videos of the foremans-classes and rates. With 2014 speaker online the conferences of IDU.
