Last Supper Painting

Una (Klaudia) Reynicke was born in Lima. She was raised between Peru, Switzerland and the United States. She has a BA in anthropology studies (USF, Tampa), a BA and MA in social sciences (UNIL Lausanne) and another MA in Arts (Ecal, Lausanne). She expresses her work through painting, video and cinema. The "Misses of beauty" collection consists on a series of paintings about beauty appearance. Beauty standardization. Una wants to reverse these standards by introducing a humanly-dramatic-suffering content into the characters that she creates. Beauty pageants, prostitutes, women and men stereotypes act to their full content. The male character is therefore always represented as a soldier, the woman as a virgen, a doll or a prostitute.
