Oil on canvas It will be shipped rolled in a tube. (The canvas is too large to be send safely if not rolled.) A specialistic shop will help you to add hanging hardware and frame. I went to Soignes Forest few months ago. Trees where so wonderful there but also the abbey, the people walking around... it just could bring inspiration to be there ! The title of this work is a play on words in french between "thinker" (penseur in french) and healer (some one who heals wounds) ("panseur" in french) and the name of the forest of Soignes near Bruxels and the fact of looking after patients ("soigner" in French). This paint is a part of the series "magnifiscent trees" . Here the man meditates on a bench. He stops doing. He thinks and looks after the wounds of the world by thought. In front of him, a body of water, inspired by the ponds of the Red Cloister abbey located in the Soignes Forest. The pond is black as oil which man uses and who allows him to destroy the biosphere. Here, the man does not do anything with it, the oil is only a harmless black surface. Trees are luxuriant and look after the meditator. I still try to fill my work with nature, feelings inspired by it and political issue (environmental). I feel I progress on that way ! I hope you can feel it too.
