Le réconfort Painting

(English below) Se dessinent deux personnes dans la transparence l'un de l'autre, comme un couple embrassé. Je voulais cette représentation avec une profondeur troublée, les plans mêlés, pour signifier à la fois la présence et la fusion, et une possible absence à la fois. Je voulais montrer ce paradoxe du couple qui voit deux solitudes se réunir pour le plaisir d'un réconfort mutuel. Je matérialise mes personnages sans chercher le réalisme, pour signifier une émotion mise en forme plutôt que décrire le réel. Mon couple se fond donc dans des volutes de textures et de couleurs dans des nuances rehaussées d'orangé où le bleu domine, baignant la scène d'un sorte de voile de rêverie, de douceur. Le format carré est le plus harmonieux, et je cherchais dans cette composition une impression de paix, d'équilibre. "Le réconfort", qui console et apaise, c'est celui d'être ensemble, tout simplement. * Two people emerge in the transparency of each other, like an embraced couple. I wanted this representation with a troubled depth, the mixed plans, to signify both the presence and the fusion, and a possible absence at the same time. I wanted to show this paradox of the couple who sees two solitudes coming together for the pleasure of mutual comfort. I materialize my characters without seeking realism, to signify a shaped emotion rather than describing reality. My couple therefore merges into volutes of textures. Colors with nuances of blue are enhanced with orange, bath the scene in a sort of veil of reverie, of softness. The square format is the most harmonious, and I was looking in this composition for an impression of peace, of balance. "Le réconfort" (The comfort), which consoles and calms, is that of being together, quite simply.
