This piece conveys the frustration and negative emotions felt when you are mid-conversation on one of the many instant messaging services and are suddenly and without explanation left on read. That is to say, the service tells you that your message has been read by the other in the conversation, yet they have not responded. This causes a lot of frustration. The background of the piece comprises a slow fade from black (bottom) to a very deep dark red(top) Six speech bubbles in speckled and textured blue overlay this background, blue was chosen as many of the more popular instant messaging services use blue speech bubbles. When the line crosses into the deep red color of the background it takes a sudden and sharp turn to the left before ending on the left-hand side of the piece.
