Bull paintings are rare. This is partly due to a lack of bulls willing to pose for a photo but they are also very bulky, so are very challenging to paint. I paint with acrylic onto canvas as the vibrant textures really bring out the characters of cows. That is until I met Will Ross and his incredibly handsome Texas Longhorn Bull Stacked Deck. His glossy smooth coat is a mirage of colour that changes in the light. Then there's his son Muddy Water. Adolescent bulls have some of the best personalities! They have this attitude and fearlessness, they seem to wear their tiny little horns with such pride. But there is still shy and wariness of new situations that makes them retreat to the security of their mother and father. This painting is very unique within the collection due to it's vibrant colour scheme. It's very contemporary, touching on abstract yet still has all the character and qualities of a Lauren Terry painting. The painting is framed as seen in the picture and will ship in a bespoke built crate.

Specialising in vibrant artwork of Cows, Lauren paints from her studio in the heart of York, UK taking inspiration from the surrounding Yorkshire & Cumbrian countryside. Lauren grew tired of London city life and needed a window to her country childhood. What better view than a curious cow peering in on her kitchen table? It was when framing this one-off painting that her career path took a serious change! The framer in North Yorkshire was so taken by the characterful cow, that he offered to host an exhibition for Lauren if she agreed to paint more of her beautiful beasts! The response and enthusiasm that this debut exhibition generated gave Lauren the confidence to launch her art career.
