About The Artwork

Sometimes I simplify the space to the extent of showing it as series of symbolic lines, however, without losing the element of basic realism. I try to reach a spiritual level by subliming the form. At the same time I do not question the value of the matter. I measure an object with my own system of values. In my paintings, viewers can see an echo of some aesthetic thought from the 1920s and 1930s. From another side, minimalism of composition may remind them art from the East. It is a choice of taste rather than conscious reproducing.

At a point in my artistic experience, painting flowers appeared so unfashionable, almost „avant-garde”. The beauty of flowers is so undeniably keen, it does not require any experience to be appreciated.I paint flowers and leave theories on the side. I am constantly suprised by their richness of color and shape. I try to avoid pursuing a dialogue with conventions and tendencies of modern art. In this „live” painting of mine I disregard ways of thinking common for intellectual capture of reality. I try to capture it with my own code.Sometimes I simplify the space to the extent of showing it as series of symbolic lines, however, without losing the element of basic realism.
