About The Artwork
This is an atmospheric painting that bends and folds like a modernist landscape. Angles and color relationships imply light and shadows of a vast outdoor space or perhaps a psychological landscape. A great contemporary read inspired by the midcentury greats like Richard Diebenkorn and Joseph Albers. This work is created on a4'x5' galley wrapped canvas over panel. The canvas is prepared with a fresco secco, giving it a nice surface interest. Rounds of acrylics are layered with pin striped areas alluding to the color development that happened along the way. My work is represented in galleries across the US and has been exhibited at three museums.I also work with art advisors and designers world wide. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Alicia LaChance is a full time painter based out of St. Louis, Missouri. She is represented by galleries across the Untied Sates. Recently, her painting, New Village, was reinterpreted as a 27' terrazzo floor public art installation at St. Louis International Airport. This work was also highlighted in the Wall Street Journal. Her paintings were selected by Julie Rodriguez Widholm, the Pamela Alper Associate Curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, for the 2011 Midwest edition of New American Paintings. Most recently, she has been commissioned to create original artworks for Roman & Williams for a project at the CAA. The artist is proud to be working with a design team recently ranked by Architectural Digest as one of the top 100 design firms in the world. Her artwork is in collections throughout the US and abroad.
