About The Artwork
During my tour to Venice I explored the city and its winding lanes and by lanes with many shops and restaurants. My hotel was located in one such narrow lanes. It was raining heavily and it was pas 10 pm. The lanes were quite empty with local people hurrying back home. I was sitting by the window and enjoying the beauty of desolate night. At this time my eyes caught sight of this lady in red hurrying home from work I suppose. You could feel the loneliness the lady must have been feeling as she hurried home. I could not help but capture the scene from my memory when I came back home in Norway. I am happy that I did. I can still feel the loneliness of the narrow lanes of Venice.
