Painting: Acrylic, Spray Paint on Paper, Wood.
My artwork is never planned, I paint in the moment and use what is around me in this case I had a womens magazine from the 60's which was filled with images that at the time where appropriate but nowadays not so much. The piece I ended up using was the cover of the magazine, which has a man blatantly looking at the woman's breasts.
The piece is was made by layering paint on the image, scraping it off, painting over the outlines of the image and then repeating it around four times. This gave the work the initial grunge look which I then worked with by painting on the the layers of colour and scraping it while wet, a technique I use in almost all my paintings in some shape or form.
