About Elvira Elvira Sultanova was born in 1993 in the city of Yekaterinburg, Russia. She started drawing at the age of 7 when she asked her parents to enroll her in a school art studio. Then her creative way began, at that moment the love of painting was born. After 5 years, she realized that school drawing lessons weren't enough and her friend invited her to go to an art school together. The level of knowledge and teaching there was of course, completely different. Since then, brushes, paints and pencils have not left her hands. What is her oeuvre about? The main 3 directions of Elvira's work are landscapes, animals and nudity. She paints pictures in the style of realism, but with elements of abstraction, and sometimes expressionism. “I want my paintings to feel life, both in the idea of the artwork and in its execution. I want my art to evoke different emotions in the viewers: it can be joy, and delight, and admiration, or vice versa, sadness, longing, perhaps a feeling of loneliness. A person does not have bad and good emotions, any emotion is a part of us, our life. This is part of the game, one of the rules of the game. Therefore, you never need to suppress your emotions, but learn to live them, meet them them gratefully and accept." - Elvira says. Therefore, she tries to write her works so that they have life as it is: imperfect, but damn beautiful. Most of her works are painted in oil. But there is also acrylic. She also uses graphic materials to create drawings: pencils, colored pencils, pastels, charcoal. Landscapes Through her landscapes, Elvira wants to remind people of how beautiful the world we live in is. There is nothing more beautiful and never will be. Because it is a divine creation. The most beautiful color combinations are natural: blue sky and yellow sun, red berries and green leaves, emerald sea and pink clouds ... In her work, through landscapes, Elvira wants to talk about the problem of ecology of the modern world. "We, people, are not masters in this world, in this life, we are guests here. For some time we were lucky enough to be here and live in this beauty. But how do we treat it? To nature. We are consumers who are merciless destroy the wealth and beauty of our world for the sake of their selfish goals. We build, cut down, litter, kill. And in the future our world will no longer be as beautiful as it was originally. And this is our fault. " - says Elvira.
