About The Artwork
Inks & Mixed Media on 30cm x 75cm Canvas. Medium to heavy texture. Cheetahs are the fastest land animals in the world & can reach speeds of over 60mph. Often mistaken for Leopards because of their spotted coats, Cheetahs are also known for their long legs & graceful bodies. Baby Cheetahs are called cubs & are usually born in litters of 3 to 5, are blind at birth & are covered with a thick coat of fur, called a mantle. The mantle is shed gradually during the first year & a half of a Cheetah’s life as the cub learns to be an independent hunter & adult. After 4 months, Cheetah cubs have the tawny, spotted coats of an adult. By the time the cub is 15 months old, it will have reached its full adult size & will have the signature white tip on its tail.
