ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This is an Ready Made, Remake, Cover, Copy, Interpretation based in the Painting "LOS SUICIDAS DEL SISGA" made by the master artist Beatriz Gonzalez in 1965. Los Enamorados Suicidas is a painting of "The savanna Paintings Series" The landscapes of the "Pinturas de la Sabana series" have been painted during different trips in a 4x4 car through the Bogotá savanna and the Cundiboyacence plateau, Colombia, which I myself have done since 2015. Each painted landscape is a journey to a new place, where I try to capture the climate and natural light of the moment in which it was painted. This series was inspired by the 19th century traveling painters, who with their brushes and canvases on their backs portrayed the vast nature.

Bogotá, Colombia (+57) 3108846658 My name is Santiago Castro Pulido. I was born on February 19, 1987 in Nemocón, Cundinamarca, Colombia. I have had a university degree in fine arts since 2013 from the Universidad de los Andes, Bogotá - Colombia. Additionally, in September 2023, I completed the studies leading to the official university Master's Degree in Artistic Production with a Specialization in Public Art from The Universitat Politecnica de Valencia, Valencia - Spain. Since I was 14 years old I have written graffiti and executed art projects in the public space under the pseudonyms Cazdos and Wordbta in the streets of Bogotá and other cities around the world. In my study art work I have specialized in weaving the urban history area with the plastic arts. I focus my work in develop the tensions of city throught the performance and street walk like an aesthetic form of knowledge, in this way graffiti action is for me an a prosthesis that give me tools to explore the public space in multiple sence. And the other hand, i am interested in the Landscape like theme and motive in a lot of studio works, where I work in painting, fine art drawing, and in-situ instalations. My works and mural pieces can be seen in Bogotá, Cartagena, Santiago de Cali, Medellín, Cúcuta; and in cities of the world like Seoul (South Korea), Istanbul (Turkey), Ankara (Turkey), Lisbon (Portugal), Amman (Jordan), Ottawa (Canada), Antwerp (Belgium), Miami (United States), Lima (Peru), Buenos Aires ( Argentina), Madrid (Spain), Lyon, Toulouse, Paris (France), and Berlin (Germany). Thanks to my artistic work I have received multiple scholarships and local art awards in Colombia, granted by the Secretary of Culture of Bogota, the Ministry of Culture of Colombia and the Foreign Ministry of Colombia
