• The dictionary defines ‘Love @ First Sight’ as the feeling you get when you fall in love after seeing or meeting someone for the first time. For example, when Mr. Obama became the first black U.S. President in 2008 and was invited to be a guest at the Oprah Winfrey Show, Mr. Obama took off his pajama to show the audience the color, shape and texture of what appears to be an eggplant in purple. The crowd erupted in laughter; and Oprah told her fans that she knew it was ‘Love @ First Sight’! Whether Oprah was talking about Barack Obama or the Purple Thing, you would only know if you asked the producer of the Show. • Here are 2 more examples: (1) If Elizabeth Taylor were still alive today, the moment the ghost of Robert Taylor popped in front of the door, she would probably go crazy banging her head at the door of her old refridgerator; and (2) Only a few years after she divorced casino titan Steve Wynn, the mere sight of Harvey Weinstein would probably make Elaine Wynn behave as if she just reached puberty at 13. • The truth is that people who enjoy seeing beautiful things and are pretty but picky fall in love easily. Whereas, poor people who smell like rotten food are bad at knowing what looks good. They don’t care whether you look like Frankenstein, Albert Einstein, Wonder Woman or Nicole Kidman. And in case you were born without the knack to turn people on, remember that your only shot at not being left behind is to appear in front of a blind man or woman. • In my 30 x 42-inch partly paint-dripped ‘Love @ First Sight’ abstract, you would not see images of Oprah, Obama, Kidman, or Wonder Woman. If you love challenges and like to figure things out, see if you could spot the 4 main characters in my abstract, who are all longing to find their first ‘Love @ First Sight’; namely: (1) A big black dog from California looking for a llama in Atlanta; (2) and (3) A black cat in a tux looking for someone way down not wearing a night gown; while remaining seated on top of the head of a man from Switzerland; and (4) Just like Dali and Picasso - whose artworks often show images of the parts that men and women want - I have painted the mid-section of a naked man whose tilted head appearing up on the edge of the canvas looked unhappy and lonesome, not because he was blind to find his dream-woman, but because all the women he had met did not have an open mind on what they wanted to do after they saw in front of his torso the shape and size of his armada that looked like a bazooka.
