Megan Lisak brings to the table an incomparable eye for art and design. She has been creating art in various forms and her talent is not limited to interior design,throughout her life she has held her greatest passion as an avid original abstract and mixed media painter. Her wealth of experience as an interior designer began prior to studying Art & Design at The University of Georgia. At the age of 16 Lisak was hired as a design assistant at an architecture firm, after her first day on the job she knew she had found her passion. Lisak works directly with her clients and listens to their life experiences to create designs that interpret their stories into a shared vision. “A key factor in art and design is being a perceptive listener, and not just with clients but with ones self ,” Lisak says. “Not everyone is the same, we change daily, that is to be embraced and shown in the movement of the design.” She also draws inspiration from her surroundings, both past and present as well as family, friends and music. Lisak moved to California in 2005 to start her design business. Over the last decade she has collaborated with the industry's best designing furniture pieces, bed linens, retail showrooms, lighting fixtures, products, packaging and architectural elements. With her paintings the creative process for Lisak is one that is very emotional (and often spiritual). The art reflects her life which consist of constant change and movement. Lisak shares her personal, authentic experiences through vibrant, unexpected color choices and combinations on the canvas, though inspired by the masters her work is not derivative, you clearly see Lisak in each painting. Lisak is a true artist that brings a highly cultivated knowledge of art appreciation, past work experience, education and skill to all of her projects, but most of all it is a love of design, her wanting to share that love with others and the ability to connect with a diverse clientele that makes not only the work of Megan Lisak memorable but her unforgettable.
