About The Artwork

I call them “Luftwasser” series, translated air water. Still my favorite topic of inspiration from weather and atmospheric elements in color. Background with graduate changing light in high sky from Atmosphere to Stratosphere, what you see from transcontinental airplanes. The background gives me a playing field of my own world. Creating another plane, another dimension, which hovers and integrates into the canvas. Incorporated are my imprinted visions form being a longtime glider pilot, and of course, as an avid sailor, i relate these forms to the water element. Each painting has its own power to contemplate of our existence in the elements. The paintings can be single or grouped as 3, 4 or 6.
