Franco Zulian born and lives in Padova,Italy---------futtyaz--yahoo.it----------------------------------------------------------------. .htm ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Studied Print Ad Design and Photography Art in Padua and worked as Radio Ad Copywriter,Interior Decorator .He played in some Garage Rock Bands and the Music is the subterranean Muse of his imaginativeness and pictorial journey. After a stay in Madrid,he leaves the Abstract Expressionism and comes back to his former representational Art inspired by the Pop current; in this occasion his subjects are underlined by a farcical and parodistic use of the present human reality, with alternative, more relaxed and contemplative moments too.He prefers to work wish manual and craftmade tecnique instead of employng digital ways in his painting.Globalism,Ecology,Consumerism,Media,Tecnology and Religion are some subjects, wich Zulian faces up to wish his painting, going beyond its borders by means of the Graphic Design, the Illustration, the Comic Strip, the Advertisement, the Cinema. In his work there is the will to carry out a mechanism which can react against the analysis of the contradictoriness,in all its aspects,of the human existence, turning it into a Show and playing it down in a context sometimes grotesque and paradoxical with a naive irriverence and pointing out the deep and hidden needs,in wich we can recognize ourselves and from which we can't escape. In his work there are also mentions of the everyday life, where the subjects assume almost the values of symbolic and passing icons as the memory of a compulsive, fleeting, emotional zapping, similar to the collective everyday reality, where functions and privileges come to us filtered through the present systems of comunication.
