MON JARDIN SECRET Painting

I was born in France, but I moved to Spain (Barcelona) when I was a teenager. This moment marked my life. Suddenly the sea became essential, and the outdoor life a part of me. The Mediterranean lifestyle is largely responsible for the vitality, strength, and optimism I try to transmit through my art. I love to work with different mediums such as watercolours, acrylic, pastel, spray… and different techniques like painting, sewing, collage, etc. The mix of those mediums creates explosive combination of shapes and colours which are very interesting to play with. My paintings are made of asymmetrical figures, imperfect edges, sinuous lines, disorder within an order. Those shapes and lines give space for the reader's imagination. Through each observer’s eyes, the painting tells a singular and particular story. It is a story in constant movement, as it changes with every set of eyes and also through time. Although I am the creator of the artwork, each painting it’s totally independent of me. An intimate and unique relationship is created each time with the viewer. I think that, through colours, shapes, textures, each painting has its own alphabet and uses a sublime language, very universal and at the same time completely personal. This apparent contradiction is what fascinates me and encourages me to continue painting and experimenting.
