This portrait belongs to the show "Behind the Colors" in which a color that identifies each of the Continents prevails and reveals different features of their respective ethnic group. Original tribes recreated by the primary colors, but white and black, when mixed, result in an infinite range of colors. The fusion of colors, becomes an explosion of energy that is entangled and enriched from the mixture. As a result, it generates diversity and identities proper to the human race, which are strengthened by the communion of cultures. Through the gaze, we reveal in each portrait, the mystery that keeps inside. Testimony that despite the differences, our origin unites us in the same essence.

I am an architect by profession but an artist at soul. After many years of working in architecture and urbanism, a career that gave me great satisfactions, I decided to investigate my postponed passion; the plastic arts … While painting I feel passion and a sense of total fullness. On my way to express myself, strong, intense colors began to emerge that somehow define me. I think the highlight of my work are the gazes, perhaps they arise from my inner search. They can be warm, dreamy, disturbing, defiant, lost, tormented, loving, but they all express and transmit something that moves. My intention through my art is for the spectator to reveal its inner mystery through the gaze. My portraits are partly captivating because of their large format size. I use acrylics and oil on canvas painted with a spatula. This allows me to give depth and texture to the works.
